This week we received further recognition for our work on the development and deployment of ViridiScope

The results of the 12th year of the Rushlight Awards were announced at The Royal Society on Wednesday 30 January at a packed Awards Party, and presented by guest of honour, Julian Critchlow, Director General Energy Transformation and Clean Growth, BEIS. We were delighted to be among the fifteen organisations to be commended ‘in a very strong group of international entrants this year’

Cavendish Nuclear visits our workshop

We were delighted to demonstrate ViridiScope to key members of Cavendish Nuclear’s Instruments and Technical Services team and show how it is used in conjunction with in-situ radiometric analysis as well as ICPMS for isotopics and stable elements.

Cavendish Nuclear visits our workshop Cavendish Nuclear has over 50 years of experience in providing radiological measurements, support and advice to nuclear facilities around the world. A key component of their services has been the provision of in-situ non-destructive assay measurements in support of operating plants, decommissioning projects and waste management facilities. Their customers include Sellafield Ltd, Low Level Waste Repository Ltd (LLWR), EDF Energy, DSRL (Dounreay) and Magnox Ltd.

Winning the award has raised our profile, says Kym We were pleasantly surprised when we won the NDA Minister’s Award for the deployment work we carried out last year and immediately experienced the benefit at the NDA Supply Chain Event with more visitors to our stand than ever. Visit from our neighbours at Trawsfynydd
Last year we were fortunate to deploy ViridiScope on site, working with Doosan engineers on the ponds complex. After a successful trial we were delighted to host a team from Magnox keen to familiarise themselves with the operation of ViridiScope and in-situ counting equipment. Theirs was the first of a series of demonstrations we are holding at the workshop for Tier1 and Tier2 companies with an interest in our innovative nuclear characterisation tools
